The international hit musical Disenchanted! makes its Delaware premiere

Bootless Stageworks is proud to present the Delaware premier of Dennis T. Giacino’s hilariously twisted, adult themed, Disney spoof-tacular princess musical, Disenchanted!

RIOTOUS, HILARIOUS, SIDE-SPLITTING! Should have poor Walt spinning in his grave!” NEW YORK POST (Off-Broadway)

A FUN ROLLERCOASTER OF A RIDE! A sassy, brassy, irreverent musical! An UPROARIOUS EVENING OF CAN’T MISS FUN!” STAGE MAGAZINE – PHILADELPHIA, PA

A GIRLS’ NIGHT-OUT RETRO REBELLION! Utterly human and surprisingly moving! Beneath the tiara, a lot of attitude!” NEW YORK TIMES, NYC (Off-Broadway)

Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs ’em?! Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the laugh-out-loud hit musical that’s anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know – the original storybook heroines have come to life to set the record straight. From the very start in 2009, Disenchanted! was a winner every female wanted to be part of with over 700 women auditioning for a one night only workshop in NYC. Songs were performed without a script to a sold-out house that quickly erupted into a standing ovation. The journey to Off-Broadway began!

Disenchanted opened Off-Broadway for a limited-engagement run in December 2014 at the Theatre at St. Clement’s and then transferred to an open-ended run at the Westside Theatre in 2015. Noted audience members included Daveed Diggs (‘Hamilton’), opera singer Deborah Voigt, Loretta Swit (‘M.A.S.H.’), and Marge Champion (the original real-life model for Disney’s 1937 ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’) – just to name a few! The production played to sold out houses, rave reviews, and several NYC award nominations including Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical (Outer Critics Circle Awards), Best New Off-Broadway Musical (Off Broadway Alliance Awards), two Lucille Lortel Awards nominations (Best Lead Actress and Best Featured Actress), as well as a nod from Playbill (2014 Best of the Year) and an American Theatre Wing Henry Hewes Design Award nomination for Best Costumes.

Since its successful and celebrated Off-Broadway runs, Disenchanted! continues to be performed by professional, community, and high school theatres throughout North America. Internationally, Disenchanted! has played stages in Canada (Edmonton, Toronto, Regina, Calgary), the U.K. (York, Stourbridge – West Midlands, Bath), Italy (Rome, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Torino, Siena), Paris (France), Australia (Melbourne, Tasmania), New Zealand (Nelson, Levin), Argentina (Buenos Aires), the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo), China (Beijing) and continues to play worldwide in numerous languages.

Bootless’ production of Disenchanted! includes the fabulously funny female ensemble of Meg Falasco (Snow White), Alicia Alaimo (Cinderella), Samantha McNerney (Sleeping Beauty), Ellorah Mead (Belle), Andrea Arena (Rapunzel), Heather Ferrel (Pocahontas), Tiara Whaley Quirk (The Frog Princess), Mariza Esperanza (Hua Mulan), Ann Kashishian (Princess Badroulbadour), and Rosanne DellAversano (The Little Mermaid). All performances take place at Bootless Stageworks located at 1301 N. Broom St, Wilmington, DE, 19806. The ADA accessible venue offers free parking, and is within walking distance to several Trolley Square restaurants. For information and to purchase tickets, visit http://www.bootless.org.
