Cat Adoption Pop Up, Pet Friendly Holiday Market early December

Make the whole family merry with a running start on holiday shopping, treating the pets to a day out, and if you’re lucky, adopt a new member from the Darlington Pet Rescue! The Jawns and Jingles winter PHLea fest will be held on December 9th, 2018 from 1-8pm in the winter wonderland decorated Warehouse on Watts. Located seconds away from the Girard Subway and Trolley stops, there is plenty of room to pack up the whole family and head to the market!

This specially curated vintage and handmade artisan market will feature unique local vendors, raffle prizes, free gift bags for the first 50 guests, a variety of delectable winter treats (SMORES!) for the youngins and a full cash bar (Mulled Spiked Cider mmmm) to please the mature at heart. Special guest and local celebrity Oliver the Love Pug will also make an appearance and would love to meet your little ones of all types. Additionally, no winter outing would be complete without complimentary photos with (dog) SANTA, the sniffing, slobbering, sidekick: Santa with a snout!

In keeping with the charitable giving nature of the season, we will also have a FREE card making station! Full of glitters and golds to make a special treat for your loved ones, or leave them with us to mail to the North Pole! If you’re feeling really generous, you’ll make a holiday card for fellow pennsylvanian, terminally ill Maddox Hyde. 14 year old Maddox has been diagnosed with a neuroblastoma after beating cancer twice before, and is expected only to live for another few weeks or hopefully months. His last wish is to receive a flurry of Christmas cards from around the world. We’ll be collecting cards to mail out to Maddox and bring a bit of cheer to him and his family.

Admission to the Jawns and Jingles PHLea fest event is free for all attendees. We are asking any willing attendees to bring donations to be distributed by the venue. Specifically to be donated to the Darlington Pet Rescue: blankets, towels, pet food, kitty litter and pet toys. The venue will also have Yard Sale Land, a place to donate any other general items to be sold at low prices during the event. Funds raised through Yard Sale Land will be donated to local pet organizations for covering costs of medical aid to homeless animals. There is lots of free parking available in the area, and anyone with large donations can contact us directly and asap for drop-off information.
