Product Review: Undercover Quinoa are deceptively delicious!

Creator, Diana Levy is a health-conscious New Jersey mom that was determined to create a snack line with the satisfaction of just enough, absolutely delicious, fair trade chocolate, over something healthy, light and naturally good for you. Since she also has two daughters with Celiac Disease, it was extremely important that only gluten-free, non-GMO, simple ingredients be used in her line of snacks.

Let me tell you, as a person who lover her junk food, and scares at the words “all-natural”, “gluten-free”, and “organic”, Undercover Quinoa is perfectly named and deceptively delicious!  They hit you with a one two punch of extraordinary chocolate and an amazing crunch.  The only downside is that you can’t stop munching!

Undercover Quinoa is an all-natural, gluten-free snack that uses only organic quinoa, fair trade chocolate and simple ingredients. This delicious, healthier snack alternative still gives consumers a satisfyingly sweet crunch!  Flavors include: Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate + Blueberries, Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate + Currants, and Dark Chocolate + Seeds.

I was presented with 3 flavors to sample and I felt it only fair to share with my co-workers.  One is a health nut while the other practices a gluten-free diet.  We sampled Dark Chocolate + Blueberries, Milk Chocolate + Currants, and Dark Chocolate + Seeds.  Of the three, Dark Chocolate + Blueberries was the least favorite as most felt that the blueberry flavor tasted artificial.  Not me… I really enjoyed it, but I think my palate isn’t as refined. The Dark Chocolate + Seeds was a hit and Milk Chocolate + Currants were the overall hit that took us all by surprise!

“Chocolate, salty, seedy, deliciousness!”

“Easily replaces a Nestle Crunch Bar!”

“Only 260 calories on a whole bag!”

Undercover Quinoa can be purchased at Whole Foods and Amazon to name a few at roughly $4.99 per bag. Their website sells them in bulk as well as variety packs. The small downside to eating healthy is the expense, but to eat a satisfying snack guilt-free is worth it!
